So right off the bat I gotta say the music in kendama edits can be a real bummer sometimes.

What's your favorite use of music in a kendama edit?

Mine is @htimSxelA edit one for use of Menomena's song polo. Love that band and I was very surprised to hear them. It made me have faith that some of you have good taste

Well, aside from the few earlier edits that me and my buddies made (where you obviously just pick music you dig), I really like the Rolf Kromie Announcement track. Don't recall the name, but pretty sure it is by Wax Tailor. That one is really cool!

Man, John Akin picked some truly awesome music for his edits. There's some I can't really think of right now that I'll beat myself up for later. But I get chills whenever I listen to music from his or Matt Ballards old masterpieces.

I would have to go back to @Grandpa Sandz 's seventh edit. Something about the music in it makes me feel upbeat and happy.

Don't really care what genre it is as long as it's not some pop radio stuff. If it matches the style of editing and tone of the video overall, I'm all for it. Just don't put a song like "pill in Ibiza" on your video to try and make it upbeat or something. Way better song choices out there to do that lol

Haha nice, I used to play some Menomena when I DJ'd back in college. Mostly from Friend and Foe. Good stuff.

    For me, it's KR-TOKYO-OM.

There's an in-between scene where Bonz tells about Emil losing the cam.
Towards the end of it he says "I got pink glasses, and i'm on.. CAT KROM"

And the Cat Krom part just masterfully gets dubbed into a remixed opening of Gloria Estefan's Congo.

    Geez.

I stand by my theory that some songs just weren't made for edits. (of any kind)

I will also listen to music and watch a dama edit pan out in my head. Happens quite frequently but rarely gets filmed.

My thought process is somewhat similar.
Film a fat stack of clips, sort them out and see what song could give it the tempo and feel it deserves.
Sometimes i spend weeks, or months at end to look for the right music.
    It's hard.

I think if/when I was to drop a real and official "edit", I would probably spend a whole lot of time on the music, or have the music in mind beforehand.

    Bumping up this thread!!!

Dylan Westmoreland's choice of music in his edits are so good. They offer something different from generic hip hop.

Tricks down Under used "Land Down Under" by Men at Work,

Downtown Kendama Days used a remix of "Dancing in September,"

and Dylan vs. Quint Stilt Flip used "Paranoid" by Black Sabbath.

Refreshing change of pace, in my opinion.

Yeah I was really surprised by Paranoid, but it fit perfectly!

I'm not really a hip hop fan myself but I had to get some Kixxie Siete after watching Colin Sander Kendama practice. This track fit for sure!

I like TK Kolesnik - Kendama Adventures music Big Wild - After Gold. Very upbeat yet chill-axed at the same time!

For those who know Samurai Champloo, Nujabes' material is always solid.

The chill, DIY vibe makes his work akin to the spirit of the kendama edit, if you get what I mean.
