    What's up guys!

Since there are so many kendama related slang in daily usage.
Sometimes it is really hard to understand for Non-English speakers.

So I decided to make a kendama slang list for Japanese people!
I have no idea how many kendama slang exist...

Please put kendama related slang with meaning here!

    It's a very good idea.

I have some trouble with english slang too.

I often use urban dictionnary Web site, but sometime I still don't understand.

For exemple: sick is like ill. But it means that something rocks ??

    Please help us (^_-)

This forum, "the sesh" is short for "the session". I think that specific word comes from skating, as do a lot of kendama words

You got it, sick means something is really good, and stylish.
This one goes beyond just English, I remember laughing when I heard some people in Quebec say 'malade!'

Popular slang words change quickly, and different english speaking places will have entirely different slang words. This will be tough... maybe its better if this thread works as a 'what does this slang mean?', rather than a 'heres a list of all of the slang words'

Maybe it is just because I'm an old man, but some of the kendama slang is just kinda ridiculous. I try to embrace it as much as I can, but some things I just can't bring myself to say... I guess that's quite an old man kind of response eh? ha

Eh, to be straight I usually find the really 'popular' slang to be way overused and cringy. I feel you on this.

People also use "soft" as like a way to talk trash. Like if you do something super cool, but then you miss the spike, you may be called "soft." No hate behind it though, just some teasing.

Lace = another word for landing a trick ("I just laced around whirlwind!")
Banger = this one has different meanings to different people, but essentially it is another word for "trick" ("I'm trying to film a banger")
Dank = it's basically like another form of "good" lol ("that set up you just made looks dank")
Slay = to me, this one is like, you're killing it or doing well ("slaying the dama")

Other kendama slang include phrases like "clean" or "dirty" which are just forms of compliments.

I use the word "clean" entirely too much lol... probably because it is my main focus when burning kendamas (getting that clean look).

Hey I have a question for you! I've heard this in a couple Japan players videos like @feather1___ at the end of landing a trick they will say something that sounds like "saaa" or "zaa"... what does this mean?

feather says よし!"yosh(i)" and おっしゃ!"ossha" alot if that"s what you mean.

It's an exclamation. you use when you manage to do something properly, among other things. It's not really kendama slang, it's more like "yes!" or "ok" depending on how you use it.

but japanese ppl, correct me if I'm wrong.

    Honed Zone
    noun
    1. A period of time while trying to land a difficult trick, when your attempts towards completion are extremely close.
"Dude that was so close, your in the 'honed zone' now. Your going to stomp in the next couple of tries!"
