    Hey guys,

I've just seen the not so ridiculous thing for a pitch in an anime series with regards to a toy, the fidget spinner. Bayblade creator, Takao Aoki teamed up with madhouse in animating this series that have 50 EP that will be aired in july(JPN only). I hope this will be another mediocre toy anime series where dragons, turtles, tigers, and other entities collide in a form of this. If you dont believe me check the link for yourself.

With that regard, would anyone wonder why kendama didn't have a shot in being an anime series rather being in it as a prop/weapon/etc? With art, i know it's very out of proportion to draw a kendama, even realistic or in anime style & it's hard to animate with such complex movement. Japan had there anime scenes that incorporates 3D that makes some hard things to draw a bit possible to manifest in an animated series. So, why does it not pop yet? It's because of the popularity? Construction with story? Realism & sense(logical) basis or a hint of fantasy could've made it a great pitch for an anime? What do you guys think?

I guess you're talking about the kendama as the main "character" in an anime or game. It's a good question but I'm wondering if it's too mainstream in Japan to be considered new and cool.

Some of the other places kendama shows up are:

@goenKendama not really. I say kendama generally as an anime. We never see like any specific kind of anime about kendama. I know there animes feature kendama but not as a whole aspect or culture of it, just basically just some characters playing it like as it is(toy) or use them differently...

I mean Pokémon had a Kendama camo in it, but a fidget spinning as an anime? Screw that. Beyblade was already enough as a fidget spinner. I would love to see a kendama styled beyblade anime tho.

I hope so, but without the too much exaggerated super power stuff, it's just so wrong & too unreal. I personally like the way kuroko no basket flesh out basketball technicalities, techniques & terms into anime with a bit of exaggeration. They make things exaggerated enough but you never miss the point that it's still regular basketball that make you relate to it. That's what I really wanna see for a potential kendama anime. No animals or creatures coming out of the toy shenanigans crap what's so ever, or overpowered kendama characters because of some sorth of a magical kendama. Just pure kendama. If there are exaggerations, it enough that you see a kendama character that has an aura/matra that embodies something (i.e. Bonz being like a god-like creature or alien XD) that makes them so unique.

I really really liked tankatsu dj forthat reason. It's pretty goofy, but it's the most honest (if not only) depiction of DJing and the music equipment that accompanies it.

Also I'm loving the "Bonz as a powerful/supernatural entity" we should def spread that

Looks too similar to a Naruto episode where the (then Hokage) Naruto showed Konohamaru a chest of things that had a kendama alongside it.
