Another one, as i watched it again seeing it on youtube. it would be awesome if we could get some of our active pro members to submit clips. Not to overwelm the video, as it is more of a community thing, but i guess it could show that even the pros are down to jam with us and help us out. Another thing i really loved was when it had some of the crazy scenic areas, and i could tell people were from all over. so if people go out to shoot somewhere scenic, even if they don't get a clip, they still try and take some sick video of where they are at, making it a more around the world type of edit, made from people around the world. These are a lot of suggestions, but mostly it was just amazing, and amazing to see what we as a community can do with just the tiniest bit of coordination. Im super excited to try and hop on edit 2, and what can be accomplished in the future.
I think it's looking like the end of May. If its not May, then end of April. Good idea, I will try and get some clips from some of the pros who are near me. Pros are usually down to jam regardless, I've found. This probably just isn't on their radar as I feel like they have a whole bunch of other stuff going on. 100% agree. I totally understand people who film in their room because my room is where I lace a lot of new tricks. However, I've found that it is super satisfying going outside with a set goal in mind and stomping your trick with a nice view in the background. Therefore, I think everybody should go outside for this next edit and get some nice scenery as your background. I've never really been a nature person, but I have begun to appreciate it way more than I did before
hey guys, i think i'll take my chance of editing the next comm ed for the next month/s. had alot of stuff just to be done with my family & others. @Ben Lowe did a really great job on this very first one. hands down for him. im not the one leading this thread, but better start your film sesh soon, cause i swear once i got the full time & effort to do an edit, you get it ASAP. this is my word i won't break, PROMISE!!!
Let's do the next one submission at the end of May. I'll make a new thread in the coming weeks. I think they will be better if we space them out just a bit. That gives everyone a month and a half from now get get some good clips.
@Ben Lowe can we create an account for the clips? so that if anyone does want to edit they could get the clips anytime. is it cool?
Interesting idea. Let me run it by the rest of the mods and see what they think. Might be a good idea, but maybe there is something I'm not thinking of.
Hey guys, i bet some of you already started filming since april & trying to lace most tricks as possible. Didn't talk to @Ben Lowe yet about the process this month, but i bet it will not differ that much in the upcoming edit. @amagad yup it is. But i don't have any confirmation yet from ben about having a community edit account as for this moment. i could create one, but it might be a complicated process since he might use his wetransfer. remember It's just an account so anyone who want to edit can edit. it might be a disaster if everyone can open the account & peep in the clips or worst case scenario, some of the clips might get deleted.
@Ben Lowe Just wanted to make sure this was still going on! Been on the film grind a little lately to try and get some clips for May's community edit.
Yeah we'll do another one. Mods and I have been talking. I decided to push it back just a bit. We figured having them a little bit spaced out but higher quality might be better than just cramming a bunch of them together. I'm thinking we'll set up a deadline soon though in a new thread.
I restored my phone and cleared a ton of memory. The days are longer, so I have more time to get better lighting this time around.
Yo yo yo. Wanted to check in on this again. Planning on submitting a few clips. I remember you had mentioned pushing it back a while to allow people to get some stuff in. Is there a new thread up yet about Community Edit #2? Haven't been able to find anything. Anywho, just checkin in!
Yeah I haven't posted anything new yet. I figured (and the rest of the mods too) that we should err on the side of doing it less frequently with higher quality than more frequently and lower quality. I was thinking about doing it this next month but I'm not sure if that's the best idea since KWC.
