When I was in school I would carry one in my bag, and I usually have a dedicated car dama that lives in my car.

Same, but I'm a daredevil so I don't store extra string in my my bag.

I always throw one in my backpack whenever I head out. A whole bunch of damas live in my trunk though so I technically always have a dama wherever I go.

To be real though my bike is currently in winter rain commuter mode with lots of extra crap hanging off it, definitely not on the weight saving game

A kendama is always in my satchel, except situations where i can't carry a bag/pouch/satchel of some sort.

If I'm going to class, 1 on the holster, a second in the bag if anybody watching wants to try.

If I'm going out to film, I like to have at least 3, cuz I'm picky and never know what I'm going to try and land on film, until I'm in the spot. And every dama has it's purpose ya feel.

True, I'll definitely cater the dama to the trick I want to film

Front wheel skid stop going for that spike! Extra rear wheel weight will keep the rubber side down.

^^^ And that's one of the reasons it's illegal to ride a bike with an umbrella in Japan.

Honestly, I leave like 4-5 damas in my bag. (some are barely used, chipped/not in gopd condition)& just play 1 (right now i only play the one i borrowed for like a month now). I don't really leave too much dama cause i got nowhere to put them besides my bag & also just in case in events where we kinda short of kendamas, thats the time we got reserves...

I only put one in my purse for work lately. Once it gets warmer, I’ll attach a KUSA ken holder so I can bring 2!

Tangent. When I took drivers ed as a teen (about 16yrs old) a classmate of mine rode his bike out in front of me while I was behind the wheel with an instructor and had both hands off the handlebars and on his phone (this was about 2006 so flip phones and blackberries were the thing for those old enough to remember). Just reminded me of that moment.

I always carry two kendamas. One fortress ricesplit with a bit shorter string for string lines and for all tricks. And also my yellow Krom pop with a long string for juggling tricks that I can't land on my ricesplit and just for fun. Also it's good to have a dama for a new player.
And of course I always have five spare strings in my wallet :D
