Going from ken grip to tama grip...

    Are there any resources or tips you can provide when transferring from one grip to the other a surefire way?

    For example if you wanted to do around the world j stick, you’d need to switch each time you get it to the spike to do the j stick. That part is seeming harder than the actual j stick!

    The technique that I use (and I'm pretty sure most other kendama players use) is the 'late turnover'. The normal version looks kind of ugly in my opinion. Skip to 5:53

    Use switch grips, like tama on spike in ken grip, pop it in a forward circle motion and catch the tama
