In your opinion, what is the most successful company business-wise?

I'd wager either KUSA or Sweets, and for very different reasons (aside from their great marketing, which is their common denominator).

KUSA is successful because of their reach and how much product they move all over the world. Kendama USA damas are what you will see both at your local dama shop and the local toy store where people don't even know what a kendama is. They even act as a sort of kendama "outlet" and sell other companies' products on their online shop.

Sweets, on the other hand, does so much business in the kendama community that it's insane. Not only are they highly successful with their own damas, but they do collabs within the kendama community on the regular by painting other companies' tamas.

I'm guessing you are specifically looking at Western companies? If you're also considering longevity in the business then there are several kendama companies in Japan that have been making kendama for 40+ years; that to me is successful.

I'm not saying that Sweets, KUSA and others aren't successful companies only that there are a number of metrics you can consider when judging a company's "success."

I don't really know much other than the starting dates of a few of the long-time makers but like I said longevity to me is a pretty good indicator of success. There may even be makers of non-certified kendama or the kendama progenitor "nichigetsu ball" with even longer histories.

    For reference:
    Hakushinsya (Shinfuji) - 1971
    Yamagata Koubou (Ozora) - 1973
    Tamiwa Toy (TK16) - 1975
