I just tried the knot last week and I love how it plays. It works 10x better than the finger hold, which is unreliable. Sometimes it even cushions cup tricks so the tama doesn’t pop out. I think I’m a fan of the knot.

Strong NO from me. I never tie knots above my tama, I did once and hated it. Sure it helps against the string from coming out, but if you do the right motion on pull up tricks, you should not have that problem anyways. Also I just hate the feel of the knot when I straighten my string or go out of a string trick. If you like the knot, no one is going to stop you, but I can't make myself do it.

I use to play exclusively with a knot but then I started learning bead grab tricks and it changed my flow game up, so now I find its not even worth it.

I’ve attached a photo of what I do. This is half of a double fisherman’s knot. In my mind it gives the best of both worlds because it can slide up and down the string.

Cool idea. So half of this? You should go post this idea over in Dama Hacks.

Yeah half of that. Basically it just makes a little knot that can be slid up and down along the string. I’ll post it there today, thanks for the idea

I did the half version and it ended up coming off at some point really quickly while i wa walking the dog and playing.. not sure why or what happened. I just ties the double or regular version and snipped the ends it’s a little bigger but I don’t think I will mind it, I like that I can move it up and down the string
