Pineapple is releasing a Tropic with what they're calling a raw ash tama. I'm gonna pick one up cause I'm curious. What are y'alls thoughts on this? I don't know of any companies other than GT that have marketed a "raw" natty tama.

Terra has their Prefects with raw natty tamas. The current KUSA Craft tamas have a slight rawness to it but not as raw as GT's in my experience.

Ohhhhh shit I totally forgot about the Prefect tamas. The Craft tamas are definitely not quite as finely sanded as some other natty tamas but they don't call them raw or anything.

That might be to differentiate between Crafts and GTs since RWB made both for a while. I believe RWB doesn’t make GTs anymore and that they might be the ones charged with making Crafts for KUSA now. Not sure who GT goes through for their US made damas though, but as far as I can tell they still put in as much effort as the previous manufacturers (RWB) but I’m also aware that the reason/rumor behind the GT-KA having a dama hole instead of the 1.5 hole is because whoever is making them now in the US couldn’t quite get it drilling the 1.5 hole down pat.
