I'll start (they don't all have to be on Downspike, it just so happens all mine are!) @Ben Lowe - This dude is awesome. Super active online in the community and always spreading positive vibes. LOVE love love his Kendama news videos on his youtube channel. So good. @htimSxelA - Alex does a lot of good for his local community but especially on Downspike I've loved his detailed responses and pro insight on so many topics. @Cheech_Sander - The Sander bros created this forum, which has been awesome for the community IMO! @Daun_yon - Want to appreciate this dude as well. He's always organizing local jams and getting others to join in on the fun.
Cereal Kendamas- Dont think they ae on downspike but they are constantly hosting jams and spreading the kendama love @syzygykendamas (ig name)- dont think hes on downspike too but he is constantly hosting giveaways to gove back to the community.
The KeNYC crew always gets my vote. They are all so inclusive and welcoming. Constantly getting together to jam, film and hangout. They also are showing the city of NY what dama is all about. Gotta love it
Also, @Chad Covington... Talk about a community supporter and someone who fosters growth. You the man Chad
all I know is that the amount of work that @MattSweets put into MKO is a testament to his love of dama I was Napoleon Blown-apart by the professionalism and effort put into that event
@JERO deserves a lot of credit for helping kendama go wide with @Kendama USA and shaping how teams are formed and just changing the game in ways people don't even know about.
Great thread! In the UK we have something going on called Project Ark. Started and mainly based in the Uk but we have members across Europe and are growing. 1 year anniversary jam is in a couple of weeks so we will be sure to post clips up soon after! Check us out if you want! www.instagram.com/project.ark
Now that he has finally joined the Downspike lifestyle. @Troy monteagudo!! This guy probably has given away more kendama's than he currently owns. Would probably even hand a fresh out of the package kendama away just to spread the love! He hosted tons of jams here in Denver at Toy stores and Dama in Denver where we got to hang out with pro's and dama family from all over. Among a bunch of other amazing stuff he's done that I don't even know about because he is just a great guy. I highly recommend watching his documentary because not only is he an incredible person, his story is too. If it weren't for him & another homie Chris E. I wouldn't have had the chance to meet all the amazing people that worked at KenCo & other good dama friends around our city. Love Homie!
Dude @Troy monteagudo! Troy came to an event like 2 cities over from me and we got to hang out, play kendama all day, and introduce it to a lot of kids. He even let me jam one of the Co Origin prototypes while we were there. After the first day was over, he just straight up gifted it to me because I was playing with it so much (and probably because I chipped it lol). He also gave me one of the OG Co seals after I pointed to the one he had on his phone. Just straight up nodded his head, reached into his backpack and gave me a seal. I stuck it on the Origin and its a dope collection piece that I still jam every now and then. Troy is the dude! He for sure knows how to get new players stoked on kendama!
