I always get people with pull up ringstall (gunsling grip) then earthturn and gunslinger in. To me it's always been a basic trick that I've done since my first year of kendama but it always gets people.

3.5 swap spike, spacewalk swap to some stall, or triple whirlwind.

Double gunslinger to bird is my go to. Either that or triple gunslinger spike! A lot of people can't lace slingers

Swing in to underbird (ken grip), throw both together (as though going into an axe), trade after 0.5 flips and wait for the ken to make the other 0.5 flip, catch in airplane.
There's probably a neat way to explain it briefly (if someone can, please do) so that everyone understands. I went with the longer description to avoid confusion.

How do you guys feel about people who know you can't sling but sling in games of DAMA? People who take total advantage of your weakness? We always have an unvoiced mutual agreement that we hit tricks that seem relatively possible for each other

I don't really like it. I try to not do slinger tricks with people who can't sling. Otherwise I could just pull out every sling variation I know and win in 3-4 tricks.

While it is a fair game and a trick is a trick, you just end up seeming like an ass. It's more fun when you do tricks that other people can do, and it's even more fun if they think that they can't do the trick and they end up landing it.

When playing games of KEN with new people, I start off easy to try and gauge the persons skill level so I can adjust to it. That mutual unspoken agreement is something I feel every player should understand, but a lot of the younger kids don't understand it. All they want is the win

LOLOLOL I like to throw in dub js toooooo.

Or I'd do a pull up single or double slingers. Or like something with frying pan/slip on stick. Or something with a knee bounce.

DAMA games are much more fun and interesting when you play to explore the other player's tricks, and show off your own favourites, than if you play to win aggressively. Don't be that guy

So true. There was a Tuesday where Jake was giving away 3 of his own set ups as a big prize. It was best 2/3 and this kid did the same exact 3-4 tricks for each game to win the set ups. He literally left right after he got them. It was just a crummy way to give kendamas a new home. He's still that dude to me cause he hasn't really changed his mindset

Zero gravity cup tricks, some random string stuff, and inward whirlwind fast hands to stunt plane always seem to do the trick for me.

Honestly, just doing around the universe gets a lot of people and it's a good trick to get me warmed up in a game. Scooping goldfish or opposite hand spike is also a killer sometimes.

1.5 swap juggle insta trade Downspike
    around the bird over valley
little bird, slip to wing (shoutout to eric Martin )
around usa with inward earth turns

A lot of these are difficult for most because of the clutch factor imo
