    I know that there a fairly significant smash following in the kendama community. How about we comment below with this information.

    Favorite Game in the series:
    Main Character(s):
    Favorite Player(s):
    Short Description of your Smash History:

    Just copy and past it for your answers. Also, we should totally organize some sort of Kendama Smash side tournament at MKO 2016.

    For example, my answers:

    Favorite Game in the series: Melee
    Main Character(s): Falco/Mewtwo
    Favorite Player(s): The G.O.A.T. Mango. (and PC Chris)
    Short Description of your Smash History: I found out about competitive smash in 2006 through MLG. First set I ever watched was Ken vs PC Chris at MLG NY and it blew my mind. I spent the next few years going to Local tourneys and following the action on MLG or smashboards. I realized very quickly that I simply do not have the skill or dedication to be top player so I sat back and became a fan. It's been one hell of a ride. Currently I play Smash on my dolphin emulator and refining my Mewtwo to catch you off guard!

    Favorite Game in the series: Melee? 4
    Main Character(s): Fox(M), Mario(4), Marth(Both)
    Favorite Player(s): PPMD, Mango
    Short Description of your Smash History: As a child I played Smash Bros on the N64, Brawl, and later Smash 4. After I met some Melee players at my school I loaded 20xx and Dolphin, which is super fun. I'll play either 4 or Melee, depending on who I'm with. the DKT homies play Smash 4.

    Bro, you're brilliant. Thank you for this thread. Dunno if Desoto is on here yet but he jams the Smash.

    Favorite game in the series:
    Smash 4, (but I spectate the same amount between Sm4sh and Melee. Too much hype)
    Main character(s):
    Mario, Yoshi, Ness.
    Favorite players:
    In Smash 4- MewTwoKing, Ally, Ranai.
    In Melee- MewTwoKing, Westballz, BizzarroFlame.
    Short(ish) description of Smash history:
    I grew up on Smash 64 and Melee and played the hell out of both. Eventually I became a competitive fighting game player in other games, but Smash was always more of a casual game for me even though I was competitive with my friends. Then I stopped playing fighting games to focus on kendama, but picked up smash with DKT every Thursday after kendama night. Started getting better and more into it...already loved the fighting game community and competitive gaming, so I watched a lot of tournaments and smash videos to improve. Now I attend weeklies here on Wednesdays and play smash for several hours at least a couple days out of the week. It can be hard to find a balance between work, dama, and smash 4, but it's a lot easier than when I was practicing like three fighting games at once.

    Short Description of your Smash History: Smashing since 2002/2003. I don't follow tourneys or anything like that and never have played competitively. Plain and simple I just want to kick your butt and have fun doing it. Mainly playing versions on Wii and N64 these days.

    Favorite Game in the series: probably Project M. Most people love melee, but its probably the one I've played the least. I always love the original 64 Smash too!
    Main Character(s): Ness, Lucas, Mario, Jigglypuff
    Favorite Player(s): Haven't followed competitive much recently (though I have followed other MLG games in the past. Used to be into competitive H3)
    Short Description of your Smash History: One of the fave games on 64 growing up, it has always been a staple. I've owned every release of the game, along with project M. I have an N64 set up in the Terra shop that we jam out on still, and I just purcahsed Sm4sh for WiiU not too long ago... though I haven't had time to sesh much yet.

    Dude I used to play H2/H3 competitively...great times. Went to MLG Meadowlands twice in 2008/09. Really miss those games.

    Favorite Game in the series: Melee. I get down with 64 too though
    Main Character: Falco. Samus in 64
    Favorite Players: Mango, Westballz, S2J
    Short Description of Smash History: I played Melee at my friends house around 5th grade and got Brawl when it came out. About a year and a half ago I got Smash for 3DS and played C. Falcon. I looked up C. Falcon videos and stumbled across competitive melee and have been watching and playing competitively ever since

    In my opinion, this is hands down the hypest moment from this year in smash. (HBox winning Evo was also hype but not like this) Makes Captain Falcon mains everywhere shed a small tear and say "there is still hope"

    Westballz has to be my favorite Falco main ever. He was blessed with ungodly tech skill and combo ability but he missed out on the tourney winning DNA. Poor Weston

    All about Melee. Didn't even know there was a 4!

    Main character: Falco

    Also fuck with luigi and samus.

    Pretty much just played for fun with some homies when we were young and never lost how fun it is. I rarely play now but when I do there's usually anywhere from 5-25$ involved Hahahaha.

    Right on! I started on H2, but then really went into it for H3. Did you play in MLG Meadowlands?

    I was on a team, we played some tournaments locally and did pretty well. There was one other team in the city that had some lower level MLG pro players on it that would beat us up a bit though haha. I always wanted to check out an MLG event, but it was always quite the trip to make on a student budget.

    One of my buddies on the team kept playing a little longer than I did, and was invited to join a team for an MLG event, but he would have had to fund his own way there, so he decided against going (again... student life!).

    I have some fond memories of meeting and playing with pros online, a lot of custom games, the old MLG playlist. I remember me and my buddy got matched in doubles against T2 and his girlfriend, and we beat em out in a tight 25-24 match. Loaded into the postgame lobby and the two of them were like yelling at eachother over the last death. hahaha

    Unfortunately I did not get to play in the tournament but I got to practice with some lower level pros at the time and was able to watch Championship Sunday when Final Boss won the first Halo 3 tournament with their elite setup of Ogre 1, Ogre 2, Walshy and Strongside. I still have an MLG t-shirt from 2008 that only has one signature on it, Strongside. He was super friendly and I always loved his play style.

    However, I was always a Str8 Rippin fan boy. Legit, Elamite Warrior, Neighbor and T2 were my favorite squad of all time. I had a friend from HS who placed top 32 in Orlando and in the= Meadowlands for H2 but never was able to get much higher than that. Also, "lil poison" who was the youngest pro gamer at the time lived a town over from me and his father owned a pizzeria in my hometown so I would occasionally see him around. He was like 10 and an absolute monster.

    Brawl and 4 are the ones I've played and are obviously the latest ones, I remember picking out a random game from GameStop because my mom let me and it was SSBB! I played it nonstop and now I have this friend that goes to local tournaments and his brother almost won one of em, Smash is pretty sick. I can play with my 3DS connected to a WiiU and it's pretty immersive. SSB4 is super fun.

    Favorite game in the series : The Original Smash
    Main Characters: Pikachu, DK, and Kirby
    Favorite players : Forward (mainly because he was a good friend of mine and just so happened to be one of the best players ever, he truly changed the way I look at video games) and Mewtwo King
    History: my history with Smash is a strong one. I played the original for the get go and it's still my favorite game. I will challenge anyone to a heads up match and put money down. I have spent many a long night playing the original and Melee and although I don't get to play as much as I would like anymore I can hold my own, my Pikachu is hard to beat in the original and my Kirby is a downspike master. I never actually played in any major tournaments but I have won numerous state tournaments with about 50 players each. SMASH IS THE BEST!!!!!

    Mines are Ness and Lucas. Something about their special ability makes me choose them, and the way they look is kinda cool.
