For anyone who is 21 and up, you could always just buy a small bottle of Crown Royal and then use the bag and a carabiner as a holder. It actually works really well. For all of you judging me just remember that kendama was once a drinking game. If you haven't played kendama as a drinking game it's really fun

I've done DIY holsters before. Used duct tape with velcro pads and made them in a similar shape to the Lion Head holsters (without the strap running horizontal to the tama) when Lion Head kendamas was still around. Looked cheap and ghetto af but did the job perfectly! No slipping because of the grip from the duct tape and held up for quite a while. Gave them all away though. The only one I have now is a Tamahawk from Sweets.

Thank you. Didn't mean for it to be a copy but that was the best way to make it.

I agree! It's simple and effective. @Flipp I have the army green in leather and it awesome. I wish the other colors were still available.

I have been searching but haven't been able to find another lanyard made as well as the one I used on this.
I've been experimenting with leather and paracprd also.

I apologize for being silent for so long, I will get a finished product to show you all and if there is any interest I will make a tutorial, and also give several away.

How do you carry your kendama in a holster, case, bag, thrown into whatever pack you have with you, or just around your neck?

These are a few variations in my ever growing collection. Holsters are cool but I haven't found one that lets me have access fast enough to be useful so if I use one it's just clip and forget.

If I'm at an event I usually have 1-2 kendama in a climber's chalk bag or Japanese style tool pouch.

For traveling or just going to an event where I'd like to have a bunch of kendama with me this has proved almost perfect though I bought it many years before I started playing kendama. I've been searching for something similar as a back-up ever since.
