So I just ordered my first Maple Craft! What should I expect and how different is tracking on a natty?

Welcome to the Craft Life! On a natty, tracking won't be as obvious because the only guides you can rely on at most are burn lines (as opposed to painted kendamas where you can easily track the hole because of contrasting colors). However, it's still very serviceable and you can track the hole no problem once you get used to it.

Would a bright string help? I’ve done that before when I have had a tama with bad tracking. I am excited to play a maple natty. I’ve played a hickory one and it felt really brittle honestly.

@AyyAron I wouldn't know since I'm not really a fan of changing the string on my kendamas, but if you think it'll help you then it's worth a shot. :)

Ordered a KROM strogo bioluminescent. What should I expect from this dama? I’ve owned sweets and KUSA up to this point.

Should be here tomorrow! I was a little worried with the weight but hopefully it’s balanced.

THIS THING SLAYS!!! Straight out of the box it’s amazing and the paint is kinda similar to sweets but completely different at the same time. It’s not as sticky or tacky as sweets but it has way better grip and almost like a cushion feel to it, I have yet to lose a lighthouse or lunar on it. Also comes with a 6-7 finger string which I have never played one that long and I think I’m sticking with it.

Sweets or Krom? I have a sweets prime but was curious to which dama is best for trucks like lunars and stalls?

How does the cup size on the CRAFT compare to a boost? Also does the stall grooves on the CRAFT make a difference when doing birds? And is there a balance bevel? I know it’s a lot of questions but I’ve only been doing this since Christmas and I’ve started to progress a lot and have been trying damn near everything and learning all I can.

I don't have a boost here to compare but I think its pretty much the same. The grooves are more for visual pleasure & tracking.
The normal Crafts ( Shift & slim) don't but the Craft shift plus has one! I think the Nobu mod has the shift shape with balance/booty hole and is painted. Honestly both (Sweets and Kusa) have great options and it's really up to your preference, No wrong options there!
