    I spend the occasional weekend in my home studio/workshop! Sometimes things turn out neat and sometimes new things are discovered in the process.

    My latest design is that tiger looking tama in the mid front of the pic. I'm calling it Tora. Took 22 bits of meticulously cut hardwood to do it. I'll share process more later!

    Just posted my talk-through and photos of the process on my site here: https://side7studio.com/blogs/post-board/tora-tama-process
    Hope it's somewhat informative or at least a fun short read/image browse.

    @Cheech_Sander
    Thanks. Tora is Chakte Viga + Wenge + Maple. *Was going to say "i'd post a link later," but I finished the post and it's linked right above now.

    @Congarranza
    Thanks man. Patience earned with years of practice. Sept 12th, so Virgo.

    I have an online shop/blog thing I pour money into, but I only sell some things some of the time for now. More of a legit way to put my artifacts out there for the folks keen on what I love to make. I make my way by working as a designer, but would love my side-biz to get stable at some point when I can get it there.

    I might put one or two Tora on the store site in a bit now that I know the process works and the tama holds up well. Maybe this or next weekend when I get some more workshop time.

    Thanks Ben! I'm still on/off working on the hybrid salvage ken. The wood cups and the nylon body are coming along great but I wanted to refine some minor details before I share the final object and process later. As for the rest of my ken-designs, only the future can tell what more will make it into the workshop build phase.

    @DPatten Good grief that Tora tama is beautiful. I knew the name before I even read the description.
