Sweets black string, 3 finger length is ideal for my setups.

Sweets premium :) I live pretty close to the shop. I love the string and supporting local businesses!

Sweets premium is my favorite string at this moment. Its so soft and sometimes when im doin lots of string tricks other strings can burn a lil. But i prefer 3-4 fingers.

I have some of these so I will have to try them out. What about for other tricks? Do you find that they get more or less tangled than a nylon string?

No I haven't noticed that. My string gets tangled regardless hahaha. I would think that has more to do with the bead (and potentially the strings ability to spin in/with the bead) than the string alone.

In the end of the day I'm sure it's about the player more than the string. I just suck at string control

Ozora string and bead with 2 and a bit skinny fingers to base cup.
The ozora bead has a good sized through(thru) hole which helps the string not twist as much IMO.

I started using the CWCS Speed String about a year and half two years ago and i honestly have a hard time playing with any other string now. The string is wound tighter and in a different method than most regular string so it has less of a tendency to tangle. I try to play with no more than 3 fingers string length. anything longer than that is just plain stupid in my opinion

I have also noticed that CWCS speed string is a little bouncy/ has a little stretch to it, whereas some strings do not stretch at all. Anybody have any preferences? Stretchy vs. not stretchy?

I have noticed that tricks with more than three rotations are significantly easier with a longer string. It's tough hucking a quad jumping stick or whirlwind with a tight 2 fingers under the base cup.

Having zero stretch in a string is terrible IMO. A bit of elasticity is best. I usually use KUSA or Ozora string, but I'm not too picky.

Although I'm not a huge fan of 'silk' style strings. I find they don't move as well, and like to catch on cups during kenflippy sorta tricks.

I like a good 3 fingers, but I don't "need" that. I can consistently play with both shorter and longer strings. I have mainly been using colored Ozora strings as of late, they feel good and don't get super tangled. I do not foresee myself ever paying for "premium" strings. The basics and extras included with new damas are my go to.

somewhere between 2 and 3 i think is acceptable anything more than that id say is sort of overkill and potentially "cheater"
perhaps the only exception to this is Rolf since his hands (and him) are gigantic

I have been really enjoying the KUSA dama mod silk strings but what is your go to string and why? I also really like the SWEETS silks as well.

Anything non silk lol. I used to be a fan, but it always got tangled and stuck on splintering basecups, so now I just stick to nylon. That being said, go to strings are KUSA, GT, or Speed String

I dunno where he got it but I got one of Bryan Hansens kendamas and the string he sent was like the most perfect nylon ive ever had. Tough, yet smooth on the hands
