So after playing kendama for awhile now, I've managed to get my girlfriend to enjoy it as well. She refuses to play but she'll come to sessions just to watch or read while I play. My moms on the other hand aren't all so fond of the wooden toy.

How does your family feel about kendama?

As long as I'm not braking anymore bones and visiting the hospital emergency room, my wife supports me.

My fiancé is starting to like kendama, because when I buy one she uses it as an excuse to buy more clothes. She would never jam one

Nope. Dama keeps me from getting more broken bones. Skating has installed various bits of metal into my ankle and forearm. One can say I'm weighted for slingers.

Same here, I had to give up skating cuz of a bunch of internal injuries and dama has kept me sane through that weird period of withdrawal.
