Yeah I saw that and left a comment. I said that the "Fidget Roller" was a Kururin and that Pendama isn't even close to a fidget toy. I said that both were greatly used by Kendama players before this "fidget" era.
The only ounce of respect i had from that video is that he did his YouTube research and noticed what people were doing with them.
Just about any kinetic "toy" will be cursed with "fidget" as a descriptor from this point I think. I'm surprised someone hasn't called phone games fidget toys but hey it could be coming.
How are you guys surprised? People do stupid shit literally all the time, welcome to the human race. The government once helped fund a project that attempted to teach a dolphin how to speak english by flooding a house so the dolphin could live with a female student. The researchers eventually gave the dolphin LSD and handjobs to see if that would work too...spoiler alert, it didn't.
Sadly this is not a joke. It was called the Dolphin English Experiment, and it was surprisingly well documented. For being so off the wall the researchers were extremely good researchers. The guy who ran the project, John C. Lilly, is actually a well respected scientist who also invented the isolation tank.
