@Carlos Habbenero A number of Premium colors have already been discontinued so you may have some difficulty finding previous releases. Discontinued: OG White, Blue, Green, Red, Orange (OG and 2G), Translucent Black, Translucent Red, Translucent Green. There were also a number of sprint run colors that were blasted out then I never heard about them again but I don't have a list of those.

Listed as currently available from the YK (shipping to dealers): Gold, Clear Blue, Clear Red, Clear Purple, Red/Gold fade, Blue/Silver fade. Not sure of the difference between Translucent Red and Clear Red but the Clear Red is listed as a new item.

I've had my white ozora for a few days now, and it's more slick than my Tk. Is that normal?

Hey Carlos I have an old premium white ozora, and yeah it can get a bit slick at times. I think it is the OG of the premium range and the paint formula differs to the current premium range, especially the White.
As I recall mine started with good tack but then went slick before getting some reasonable tack back. Ive heard plenty of other people have the same experience with the white too.
Seshing it and getting some warmth from your hands into the paint should help.

Yea, iirc the white was the first 'premium' with sticky paint!
Ozora also made a couple of different versions of the white around that time... some much stickier than others. I have 1-2 whites that are way slicker than the other sticky premium ozoras. I think they were testing out some different paints, and talking with the JKA to figure out what would work best

Thanks for your input both of you, and that's kind of disappointing, I was under the impression that the white was the favorite of the premium line.

Do you have the box still? The OG we have are in a plastic box with a sticker. I'm pretty sure all the latest versions have the Ozora information actually printed on the box itself like the example below. (OG left)

While I can't be 100% sure that seems to be the case. The OG we put out on display for people to play a couple of years ago wasn't as tacky as the second gen Premium paint right out of the box but it was/is generally noticeable in play compared to standard Ozora paint. The tackiness wasn't really what you felt in your hand but when it was in contact with the wood.

I usually check how tacky something is by putting the tama in one of the cups and moving it around to see how the paint and wood interact rather than just relying on my hand since my hand isn't the thing "catching" the tama. FWIW we still have players seeking out the OG Premium since they find it easier to adjust than the 2nd gen. We had a guy ask me to put back 2 for him since he wanted one to keep and one to play. It's kind of a cool collector's item since it was the first step toward Ozora getting "sticky" paint and has the old-school JKA seal.
