Most enjoyable Kendama I've ever played. Honestly until now I feel bad about using it too often despite the D.A.D. sticker. But I might pick up a new Prefect at MKO which would make me feel a little better about thrashing this

I'll be jamming my Yellow Birch Shift! It's still breaking in nicely so I might take a picture in the beginning of November then one after a month to see the transformation.

I recommend taking that picture. I have a before and after of mine and the Birch just absorbs everything. It gets so nice and soft and stalls get so good.

I'm picking up a maple craft slim ken to throw on my natty ash tama. I'm real excited to break in the ash.

The maple GT-E1's are just standardly finished tamas, but I was referring to raw ash used on their pro mods and high end shapes. Both are great, but raw ash is just too good.

@Epatts Me too. Solid shape. I feel like it is a super comfortable ken.

My DWI barebones came in last week. It is SO GOOD. It’s by far the lightest maple dama I’ve owned but I love it so much.

    Hey guys,

I have been struggling to break in my keyaki ozora for about a year. Should I take the jump and use it for natty November in hopes of breaking it in? I’m an intermediate player and a lot of tricks are difficult on it, but would like to know if it’s worth the challenge. It’s my favorite dama and would like to finally break it in!

Do it! Don't expect it to get super grippy though. As it dents up it'll have more grip, but it won't become equivalent to a sticky paint.
The upside is, a honed natty is more consistent than a painted ken, and will maintain playability longer (usually, at least).
