Everybody so I’m going to KWC this year and I was wondering from past goers what is my best game plan for prepping?? (Flights, hostels, etc)
You'll need to find a local gym or spa or something like that, where you can use the sauna. Ask them to turn the sauna up to double the usual temperature, and then spray the radiator with a hose so that it becomes almost like a steam room, but much hotter than that. Now sesh KWC tricks super hard all day in there, but be sure to stop for water so that you don't die.
hahaha @htimSxelA i have been practicing the old lists and I live in the south I feel like I got a good hold on Humidity. But I’ll try out the steam room tech. More of my question is plotting the trip. Best way to buy tickets for flights and hostels and shiz
I usually just start lurking flight prices as far in advance as possible, try to get a feel for what the highs/lows are, they'll jump around a bit. If you see something low, go for it. Book flights into Osaka, try to arrive a day or two in advance of the start of the bus trip, and make sure you pay attention to the date change (you cross the date line flying in). FWIW, rumour is some flight pricing sites will track your searches across sessions, in more detailed way than just cookies (IP, browser fingerprinting, etc). So it might be worth running your searches in a privacy conscious way, like through TOR, might save you a few bucks. I usually find an airbnb in Osaka, for pre-KWC nights. If you hunt around you can probably find some people to join in and get a spot. Cheaper and better than the hotel/hostel options for the most part. Jet lag on the way there isn't too bad, but on the way home it suuuucks. Flying east is always worse for whatever reason.
Good time to jam a natty too! Japan's gonna be super warm and humid come KWC time, so natties will be super honed. Better to get a head start breaking in that dama via steam room.
