Just as the title sugests, I'm looking for tips to land this trick. I have gotten to recatching the tama, but the ken just spins out of control so I can't land aeroplane. Thanks

The key to controlling the erratic movements of the ken is to keep the string taut when catching the tama!
The catch should be soft, yet firm as you keep the string taut.

I'd advise catching the tama once the string is parallel to the ground.

From there, it's a soft tug to airplane.
Also, watch the Japanese players (Tamotsu, etc).
There's a certain way of tugging when you wanna go in for the airplane.

Like @azleonhart said, try to catch it when the string is parallel to the ground, and try to keep tension in the string, that'll help keep control of the ken!

To do this, kind of 'pull on the tama' as you catch it, and make the pulling motion towards the direction of the hole in the bottom of the tama (straight away from the ken, in line with the string). Hope that makes sense..!

Anyone got tips on what might make a kendama spacewalk honed? I've already noticed shorter string, lighter setup, and weight matching, but theres really not much information you can find, at least in my experience.
