so for a long time now i wanted to buy a kendama my first and only experience is with a krom kendama so i was looking to buy one of them however my mom while trying to do a good thing as a christmas suprise ordered this one from amazon and i couldnt find any reviews or videos using this brand so it really makes me think that it is a not-a-very-good one has anyone ever tried it? what is your review?
@kua That looks like it is going to be very similar to an older KUSA Tribute. Since a lot of brands come out of the same factories there's a good chance that it is of reasonably good quality and made of Beech wood. There are a lot of folks who play older designs with glossy paint to hone their skills since they are generally harder to play. Seriously, ask any OG player about a TK16 Master kendama. If you get good playing that one then when you pick up something with sticky paint and bigger cups you'll be golden. Be happy. Your mom went out of her way to find something that you wanted but that she knows nothing about. There are a lot of stories out there about parents thinking kendama is a waste of time and don't support their kids playing. Sounds like you are one of the lucky ones. Merry Christmas (already the 25th here in Tokyo).
