I've been playing Begleri a LOT, I really enjoy it.

I don't have a collection pic, but I've managed to pick up a serious number of sets over the last little while! They include:

Three different monkey fist sets (various sizes / shapes), AO2 everymans (alu, brass, and copper), AO2 Titans (so heavy! so good), AO2 alu titans (seriously, one my my faves!), a mismatch set of different AO2 beads, and then probably 6-8 sets that I've made for myself (spoiler! Terra begleri?;)). And some thumbchucks (honestly, decent. You can't play as fast / tech, but still a lot of fun!)

Do you know approx what length of paracord it takes to make a set of begleri? I know this will depend on the length of cord inbetween the knots, and the size of the object being wrapped, but even a ballpark estimate would be cool! I have a little bit of paracord and was thinking of trying it out, wondering if I should just buy a big roll, or try with what I have right now.

It's been a while but I want to say about 2.5M of 550 paracord but on that set I used it with the inner core still intact. You will probably need less if you remove the core threads. Here's a good video about the final length for play. I use paracord for lots of things so having some spare around isn't a bad thing. You can get hanks of as little as 16.6M (50 feet) for ~$5-10 USD.

Alright, got around to trying this out today! Made on end of a set, then decided to just go for it and make a two-coloured set. Turned out pretty decent!
Wrapped around some copper marbles, total weight is 38.8 grams. Heavy!

Shoutout Troy Yardwaste for hooking up the marbles and the inspiration to get on this project

I see references to these guys making them but can't find the actual product. Maybe they do limited releases of them.

I would probably only buy a terra begleri if it had metal that went inside it so it's not light as heck. Also you guys should all check out cizrek's YouTube channel for the poor man begleri tutorial, it is my new favorite. Got to love the Japanese 100 yen stores. Picked up a couple sets of 1/4" sockets to try out as Begleri beads. (the Mechanic's Series) They actually work pretty well but I may add some brass nuts on a couple to increase the weight. I'm trying to work out a short game length that works for me but so far I've only successfully found the "whack-a-knuckle" length.

What's the rough weight of your Begleri beads? Around Square lists some of their beads in the 13g-17g range but also have some listed as 30g+.

I have sets that range from ~17 g to ~40 g. They're all good in their own ways, I think my fave range is 28-38 g right now though. When I started out I preferred mid-high 20's, but as I got more control the heavier sets were less intimidating.

I think I'm going to have to go heavier with the socket sets I made above. I like the look and feel but they're pretty light. I just need to find some brass nuts to put with them. I think I can get 2 nuts per socket so that should help.

I've been avoiding the things I need to do by working on DIY projects lately. Here's another from the Mechanic's Series from the post above. The heat shink tubing is pretty heavy so it keeps the noise way down on these.

If anyone's interested my friend Levi has this website. He sells Beglari, Fidget Spinners, and Kururins. You could order stuff from him. If your interested in the beglari, I'm actually the one that makes them! So if you want a certain color or special order I can make one for you! Just send me a PM! :)

I totally endorse Levi (backwoodsprod), he made me a couple batches of awesome looking and fully playable knucklerollers made from spectra wood, including famous GT colors like hongboots, gatu and librarian.
He works fast and well, but I don't own any of his ken yet.

Knotty's, if it's available on the site, yes,
but I won't recommend pre-orders or custom orders. Took them 12 whole months to complete my last 200 bucks order, and I had to keep emailing every couple months to keep them motivated or they would have dropped me altogether. Also, I feel the older shapes (7075) are much better than the new ones. If you can find older models and you like begleri, you'll love them, especially for the price.
But I've rarely seen so little accountability from an online shop, in 20 years of buying online, so pls be careful.

PS: and I'm a begleri and knuckleroller reseller in japan, so I deal with most popular brands and have a few thousand bucks worth of stock at home, so I believe I have enough reference to compare customer service.

Not everything I currently own begleri-wise, and my collection has changed since I took this a few months ago. Definitely love aroundsquare, most of my other skilltoys are from him as well.

Probably the only brand I'd rep
