Then he starts yelling at some guy on a motorcycle like he knows him, but he is being completely ignored. He comes back and asks us if we believe him, and I just say "yeah totally" cuz I am kinda curious.
He whips up this flasks and offer us a zip and show us this brass ring that he just bought, telling us that it's gold and like a 1000$. Apparently it's a birthday gift for his daughter. He shows us a picture of her, and the picture seriously looks like it's from the 70's which makes no sense, because the guy is not a day over 40.
So we're all complementing him, telling him how his daughter is really pretty and we'd totally like to help him out. All of a sudden he wants our goddamn phone numbers. My buddy is all like "sure thing!" (at this point I am kinda confused if he actually believes this guy). I'm just sticking him some lie about how I don't have a phone, and that's why I am interested in the job so that I'll get a fancy new one.
So he sits down and starts telling us stories from his youth or whatever. And they are super elaborate, which is really strange since there's no way they are true. They are really good though and at one point, he starts talking about his sunglasses, claiming that they were a gift given to him by Kurt Cobain, whom he referred to as "that greasy guy from Nirvana".
