Grinding out a trick for the first time in a while just reminded me how freaking frustrating yet rewarding kendama can be May 8, 2019

Just missed the pin on that inward stilt monkey tap mko trick, but I just learned inward stilt minutes ago. The inward stilt grind is on.

Ikr, I'm still trying to find a comfortable grip for inw stilt where the tama hole faces straight up and my hand is out of the way

Does anyone know the difference between rubber paint, kusa silk paint, and sweets cushion clear paint (other than the brand of course)?

All of them are really just matte clear coats, but I feel like Sweets mixed something into their matte clear formula that allows it to grip the ken no matter what. I'm not really sure myself, but Sweets isn't revealing their paint secrets anytime soon.

^^thanks guys. I've never played a matte dama from one of the popular brands but I was wondering the difference. I always hear good things about cushion clear so I might try the next time I cop a dama

yes, do that. cop a prime custom (probably not a v9 as your first cush dama), but a v8 or any of the cush b-grades are going to be good options.

Thanks, that tip always crosses my mind but I've never really tried it. I'll give it a go

If you're talking about multiple inny loon flips, then you just need to give it a sharper flick in your wrist. I think in general, I just tend to underestimate the amount of force I need to use to actually flip the ken.

^Thanks, I'll keep that in mind for the future, but I'll stick to single inward lunar flips for now because I'm quite far from landing those consistently lol

The paint on a fresh prime pro mod is so sticky, I can't adjust my lighthouses...

Update, it lost that extra stick after lightly playing it for a couple of days so I can adjust my lighthouses now
