I like the swoopy/scooping part. I'm going to try and add that to this.

    Nice :)
    Feels really fun to do.
I've been wondering how fast I could get it with practice, it would be sweet to give it the speed of a downspike :)

I personally just call it sara grip bird or down bird depending on what angle it is going down at.
But yeah, peacock is cool haha...
Fun fact. Peacock tails do not benefit them in any way except attracting mates. The reason their tail is so big is because of natural selection since male peacocks with larger tails more likely reproduce! I guess in peacocks... size matters:rolleyes:

I was actually a participant in this Reddit post, and Rodama confirmed that this trick is called a Boosie Flip.

What is it called when you do a whirlwind but turned sideways? I have been calling it a Swirly but didn't know if it had an official name.

@lategreat808 I saw it over on KDS but didn't see if they'd come up with a name. Thanks for the update.

    **moderator hat engaged**

@takoyaki We have a related thread so yours has been merged here.

As for a name for the trick you describe I ran it past the folks on Kendama Discord Server and got "ken grip Moshikame" as you mention. If I get a chance I'll also ask one of my JKA contacts to see if they've got something for it.
