The Netherlands is home to a LOT of epic players. Search for the 'spikedama' events, I think the tenth one is coming up soon. I saw that the winner gets a trip paid to Japan!
I'm is San Diego Suburb. There was a GIANT scene a while back, now only dedicated people still jam. Still lots of events in my area though, so I am happy with that!
Wow! Didn't know so much was going on out here! Thanks @htimSxelA @azleonhart Btw I will be at the Dutch Juggling Convention from the 25th untill the 28th of may. So if Dutch players wanna hang arround, you could consider comming!
Take some photos, and give us an update, or even better, a write up! Absolutely love it when people get connected!
Philippine player here. Scene here is really small. I can count maybe 10 players, and not all of them really play regularly anymore. If anything, we have a dedicated jam spot and kendama store, as well as a local brand.
Murfreesboro, TN. Only an hour and a half from the rwb shop, not a single person with a kendama aside from me.
Oh man, which suburb? I'm out in Corona/Norco and Huntington is the closest place I know of where people play, klackshck. What's in Anaheim?
Hey! I work in Etiwanda near Baseline and go to school at CSUSB. Depending on your schedule I would be down to meet up.
A few orders have gone out to New Zealand from us a Sweets in the last few weeks because of the NoJumper hype. Hope you find some people to play with!
The scene in MT is so small, I have 4 other friends who play dama (still getting the basics) except one kid who was from Hawaii so he knew about it and is good. The only player who lived near me who was a pro is Finn Loftiness and I know he went to MSU but I have not seen him ever and he is virtually nonexistent in the community anymore. The only other 3 or 4 kids who are into still kinda into dama live 7 hours north of where I live and I think the closest jam may be in Idaho or SLC but that is a 4-6 hour drive. Hope to one day make it to an event
I lived in Tucson for 4 years and never saw a kendama. I kept one on the shelf but it wasn't until I finished school that I started playing again back in Wisconsin.
I'm pretty much the only dedicated player in my area. One of my friends is pretty into kendama as well, and many of the people I know/other friends have a kendama, but there are no other people who see it as something that they really want to pursue. That's alright with me, as long as kendama has affected their lives in some sort of positive way. As long as they are hyped about kendama too, that's cool! The only thing it really affects for me is that I have to push myself forward into more advanced tricks, as nobody else that I see regularly can give me pointers or advice. But I still have the occasional session with a couple of buddies, and that's fun! Even though I'm the only committed player, my friends still enjoy playing - just not as often.
I live in the upper peninsula of Michigan, where almost NOBODY plays kendama, or even knows what it is.
I live in a small village in France, where anyone knows about kendama. I only found like 4 guys who plays ken. There are 25000 ppls in this village.
