For anyone who is 21 and up, you could always just buy a small bottle of Crown Royal and then use the bag and a carabiner as a holder. It actually works really well. For all of you judging me just remember that kendama was once a drinking game. If you haven't played kendama as a drinking game it's really fun

Lets all get real, we all know @Matthew Rice has put out he best holster to date. DWI Tsuna is life!!!
I've done DIY holsters before. Used duct tape with velcro pads and made them in a similar shape to the Lion Head holsters (without the strap running horizontal to the tama) when Lion Head kendamas was still around. Looked cheap and ghetto af but did the job perfectly! No slipping because of the grip from the duct tape and held up for quite a while. Gave them all away though. The only one I have now is a Tamahawk from Sweets.
Heads up, V2 Tsunas are coming in Jan: https://www.instagram.com/p/BOhrJ3ED7Rc/?taken-by=dealwithitsf
How do you carry your kendama in a holster, case, bag, thrown into whatever pack you have with you, or just around your neck? These are a few variations in my ever growing collection. Holsters are cool but I haven't found one that lets me have access fast enough to be useful so if I use one it's just clip and forget. If I'm at an event I usually have 1-2 kendama in a climber's chalk bag or Japanese style tool pouch. For traveling or just going to an event where I'd like to have a bunch of kendama with me this has proved almost perfect though I bought it many years before I started playing kendama. I've been searching for something similar as a back-up ever since.
I usually just sling mine around my neck. It feels weird if i dont have it hanging there all day haha.
I got a krom holster but it doesn't work too well. So sometimes I just put the string on a carabiner and hook it to a belt loop. I want a sweets holster. Those seem like they would work pretty well.
I'm currently using the sweets leather holster. I should have my own holster made in the next couple of days. I suppose I'll come back to this thread with that.
I'm generally one to just throw my damas in a bag or have it around my neck. If I'm carrying precious cargo, I'll throw it in a drawstring bag, but that's about it. I've never really been into the holster look, at least not for me. But @goenKendama, I must say that helmet holster is bad ass! I'm also really interested in grabbing a bag like that, which will hold 10 damas. That will really come in handy for vacations. I am never able to just bring a few Kendamas on a long trip!
I have 6 of the little baggies kendama companies give you with their kendamas. I use them for everything
@Mr. Von Braun check out this post for more info about the maker of the helmet. Alas the 10 ken bag is pretty old and as mentioned I've been looking for something like it for a while now. The closest I've found is a travel bag from Amazon that holds 5.
