Since 2018 is quickly approaching I was wondering if the kusa pro models might update or change to each players preference as of now. If they are changing i will need to buy one.
I believe they are already discontinued. Once they are out of stock, they're done. Same as all of the kaizen 1.0s and tributes. They are planning on making new pro mods, and putting some old players on a legends team. They are also stopping exotics, and are going to work more on new paints,shapes, and quality. All from an inside source. *hem hem*
I'm under the impression that most, if not a lot of them will be transitioned to the 2.0 shape. Wyatt's pro mod (not the champ mod) was made in the 2.0 shape originally, then TJ's was switched over, and now Dave's. Other than players like Turner and Zack not being as prominent in the scene anymore, I don't see why they won't switch the remaining 2014 pro mod line to the 2.0 shape as well and all signs have point to that being the case.
Assuming this is true, I like what kusa is doing, a legends team is a great idea, as many of their pros are legends, but just aren't as active anymore. And new pro mods will be cool.
I’m dying to see some Crafts come back around. I’m hoping they have some new premium level stuff on the horizon, maybe different shapes to check out. I’d like to see the changes and improvements with paint too, maybe silk 2.0 or something stickier.
I think they are going to be coming out with new pro models. That's what I expect at least since the last ones came out in 2014
Whoa I didn’t know they were so late on making new kendamas. I know they’re a huge part of the kendama community, not just a manufacturer, but what have they been doing since 2014? Hopefully some mind blowing R & D that opens a new door to never before seen kendama badassery!
yeah I know they're not really a company that releases new products all the time. But since 2014, they've come out with the 2.0s, the Crafts, and the new pro mods like Wyatt's and TJ's and Dave's. I'm hoping to see more Crafts, pro mods, and just more 2.0 colorways in 2018!
AshXHick craft dawg?? Omg! I feel like they will be integrating the super stick into more 2.0s following the sweets prime (for example) judging by what they did with the tripstripe kaizen
You know since some of you mentioned legends beign a possibility, I wonder if they will do some throwback as legend mods. imagine v3 pro mods were in 2.0 shape... Also come to think of it legend mods should cater not just who were in the "pro" team but some people who made huge contribution for KUSA like Keith Matsumura... if he still not gonna be back anytime sooner, he still deserves a mod even if it's not a "pro" mod
But they might just be prototypes. We don’t know for sure if they will come out or not. For example, Haley had a beech Craft and it wasn’t available at the time.
IIRC Jake has the only walnut craft. 1/1 dama, unlike the beech which I believe was a prototype. But hey, I could be wrong.
