I totally 'unlocked' handlestall and slip-stop stall/swoop stall (whatever we call it) today! Very stoked on this!
I landed a spacewalk after twenty or so attempts at work. I even chipped the outer edge of the basecup. Never practice spacewalk on concrete floors.
So last night I was working on (trick names are likely incorrect) ken grip big cup-> ken flip to big cup-> spike-> earth turn. Took me about 2.5 hrs to land it cleanly. I had just started landing ken flips, but I couldn’t pull it together for anything. I just picked up a kendama today and nailed it first try... didn’t push my luck for a second one lol
After over a month of on and off practice I finally landed my first airplane! This was the first thing I have ever done other than cupping, so it felt pretty amazing. Unfortunately for me, I have no friends irl that even know what an airplane is, so now i'm here lmao. Since then, I have landed a ton more, so I guess I have to move on to the next video in the sweets beginner tutorial playlist lol. I was beginning to feel really discouraged, so I was so this came at a great time. I got it on vid and when i figure out how to get it to my computer, ill try to post it.
@Firesnail7070 We already had a similar thread so yours has been merged. Future "landings" can be posted here.
Downspike and Stuntplane Seeing those really hard and flowing downspikes in kendama videos got me stoked to buy my first dama about 3 months ago. I was like “man, I wanna do that!” And I’m doing it. I freaking love this game!!! Next goals are ‘airplane, basecup, downspike’, Around Europe & lunar!!!
One month playing Kendama today and landed my first bird I was so stoked I could not spike but held the bird solidly for 5 seconds with my mouth gasping open. Does not sound like much but for an old dude like me I was pumped !
