Ah got it, that sounds like a plan. I was at this hotel back in February and liked it and the attached restaurant but it's kind of in the "boontoolies." Having a ride will be handy. I just got my plane ticket so looks like I'll be there barring any unforeseen difficulties or acts of God.
The one thing the hotel is pretty close to is the Sweets shop, which is cool! Hopefully there is some decent food around. I dread being stuck in suburban American hotel parking lot all weekend, where the choice is between three different greasy fast food places Glad to hear the attached restaurant is decent
@htimSxelA It's called the Twin Cities 400 Tavern. 4.4 Stars on Google with 451 reviews. Only fastfood within walking is Wendy's and even that was too far when I was there last, minus temps and snow/ice.
I recall one of the first MKOs, it was quite snowy, and I walked to white castle with a couple of the COTK guys. One of them didn't wear shoes. lol Twin Cities Tavern sounds like the spot!
Luckily we will have some warmer weather! And, your personal definition of "Walking distance" plays into this one a lot. There is the restaurant in the hotel and a Wendys and gas station across the street. There is also a Taco Bell, BK, and McD close..ish But more importantly, about a $5 Uber away from the U of M where there are a TON of good food options
Super pumped to see and meet everyone at NAKO! It will be the second year for us. My fiance and I are getting married in just over a month, and we're not doing a honeymoon right away, so this is basically our wedding trip. We couldn't be more stoked! We are getting in on Thursday, around 4-5pm (driving there because we live in Minnesota), so we'll probably check in and head over to the Sweets Shop right away. I also saw that the Insight Brewing taproom is very close to Sweets and open until 11pm, so we might have to swing by there
