After surprisingly not chipping a dama in about a year, I chipped one of my jammers the other day- my Roots Dat Mint Pokeball. The last dama I chipped was my Alex Smith 2014 Pro Mod, I jammed that dama to bits. What dama did you just chip?
I only play over carpet, grass or sand so I have literally never chipped a kendama. I bought a pressed bamboo ken from Kaleb when I was still a noob and that one chipped due to a defect but other than that my kendama playing has been chip free, I only get a little wear and tear around the cups and the bevel. I prefer playing bare foot on grass because it feels so good and I don't even like walking on concrete because it feels so unnatural for me.
Nothing chipped for me recently but, the ken for my HNLK Keyaki snapped in half a couple months back. Hence why it hasn't been in any of my ig videos in a while lol
Most recent? My KenCo Aqua Zen. That happened 2 years ago! Haha! Since then, I don't think I've chipped another Kendama. Maybe a few dents and dings here and there. I have too many set-ups that I play with, but never to the point where they've chipped.
Just took a huge piece out of my already-destroyed KROM Autumn's basecup earlier. Trip taps are the sesh...
Man I wish I had a picture of my graveyard. Blown out basecups galore. Most recent, JAC beech. Super honed shredder, but only lasted me a couple months. I feel you @Dwesty
