I've been looking at Sweets Rolling Pins and Bilboquets and I was wondering what your takes are on those as I was maybe thinking of purchasing one down the line... again, Your takes?? worth it, Not worth it, fun, not fun, etc.
yea... i probably WILL get them... but not in the month because im kinda tied down on money... but when i do get enough money i will probably.... have you ever played with one?
i've played with my friend's rolling pin before and it's really fun messing around with variations of spiking, juggles etc. i guess it's similar to playing with a pill but with different physical features. i just ordered one for myself as a christmas present and pretty stoked for it lol
I have not personally played with either one but they look like a look of fun and I can only imagine that they help with your kendama skills so it's probably worth it, unless of course there is some really sweet kendama you want first.
Both are fun for different reasons. I personally enjoy the Bilboquet a lot! It was a toy I was introduced to early on by my homie Alex Ruisch. There is just something awesome about spiking it. Whatever trick you do feels gratifying. The rolling pin is a crazier more unique toy. There are so many ways to play it we don't even know everything thats possible yet. Both are unique skill toys any kendama player should have in their collection though.
holy crap first off im a big fan... that sounds awesome! im definitely going to get a rolling pin and probably a bilboquet too
Bilboquet is actually kinda fun. My old work headquarters used to have one that I'd play with every now and then. I didn't get to experiment too much with it, but I would say that it's not a bad purchase
The rolling pin is crazy fun. For starters, it's symmetrical which is a game changer. The kendama, pill, or bilboquet are inherently asymmetrical, which is sort of the point, but it's a really refreshing change to be able to spike or scoop on either end at any time. Fast hands and Legangs can be theoretically endless too.
They seem pretty different to me honestly. Lots of stuff that doesn't really translate from one to the other. Obviously some stuff does, but I think the differences are what makes them cool and interesting to try and experiment with!
