    Fellow Slayers,
Anyone ever see anything like this? This came out of the package this way. Its a raised circular portion on the tama. Painted over and seemingly expanded or did something after the paint was dry.

    Thoughts?

Pretty tough to say what it is, can't really see it that well from the photo. Can you post more?

Hmm I mean its tough to say exactly what that is, but if I had to guess I would say it was a knot or void that was filled and then not sanded correctly?

Either way, if I were you I would be looking to exchange it with a new one from where ever you bought it. Thats no good

For the record, my ordering experience AKO was great. They made an initial human error, that they more than compensated for. However, one of the dams that they sent had this issue with it.

I've never seen that before. I would be interested to see what it looks like with the paint sanded off.
