So I'm new to Kendama. I've been around people in the community for a few years but never really tried it before. I've been watching a lot of trick and review videos to get an idea about what's available and the difference in quality and brands, etc. So choosing my first wont be a big deal but I'm trying to find the best retailer I should buy from living in Canada. There are some Kendma on some Canadian juggling websites but I'm trying to find a good and reliable shop that is more primarily kendama based. I buy a lot of skill toys so I'm probably just going to buy a pile off the hop. Best recommendations?
@Vince531 We've been putting this kind of thread in Sessions so we've shifted yours here. Here are a few suggestions in this thread. Also Terra is based in Canada.
I don’t know what Canadian retailers there are but a starter kendama that is a great deal and has one of the best shapes out right now, you can’t go wrong with a sweets boost radar. It’s got color options, great tracking and a a pretty stylish design for an entry priced kendama. Plus at that price it’s still a kendama that both beginners and pros can do everything with. Also Beech wood is a great starter wood because it’s a little softer and forgiving compared to a hardwood like maple. The biggest thing I would say is buy a kendama that has an up to date shape and not some no name/brand kendama with tiny cups and terrible paint because it won’t perform well and you’ll just end up buying a “real one” sooner than later. Good luck!
