@Thomas Ishikawa I afraid I can't confirm beyond what I've posted. It just appears that Spectraply kendama may be moving away from the GT and Sweets lines though there are some other companies that still have them I think. Kendama Custom Kreations comes to mind but their site seems like it's down.

Sweets doesn't manufacture their own spectraply in-house, but it is possible to place orders for custom colourways with the manufacturer. You just gotta have some serious bucks to spend on an order like that!
I kind of thought that they started with Spectraply but GWC ended up making some spectraply-like laminates for them. Check the video below. It looks like they're trimming off the excess of something they laminated themselves.
Good eye, but I think they just buy the big wide blanks straight from the manufacturer, and then GW cuts them to the appropriate sizes.
Weird that I never got this notification. But @htimSxelA is right that we don't personally make them at the Sweets shop. The specs we have offered were custom colors made specifically for us though.
I would argue that the reason for limited Specs or limited batches simply comes down to their philosophy. Small batch. Big Idea. They consciously choose to limit the supply of each batch to ensure quality and a genuine uniqueness for those who get them! There simply isn’t an endlessly supply of any particular GT so it makes them all the more special when you do have one!
I would assume you only see colorways of KA or BH only if they are hyped about that color themselves. The promods express them and thus are fairly tied to them. So you won’t see something done with them that they aren’t crazy for!
So yeah the rojo and mijoto weren't selling well, but they've been only doing spectra on pro mods and prospects, I think they should do more to, and if you remember black n tan that should be done more!!!!
