most of the things i found on thingiverse i didnt like so much so i tried to model my own and boy was it hard~

fusion360 file and iges are here

tama has a seat for the spinner so it stays flat and doesnt pop out

    supposedly?
    Tama - 69g
    ken- 55.25g

ill probably make the spike thicker at least thats the first thing i notice.

Can work your files for you in higher resolution/quality and with more material options than an in-home spool-fed fdm printer can do.

Not really cheap, but reliable if you generate adequate mesh.

I printed a tama and paired it up with a wooden ash ken, only problem is that my spike is dying.

Some of those designs are super innovative and complex. Some are simple. Just wait until we pay Terra/Kusa/Sweets for a kendama file and just print it at our house!

The yellow/red weighs 21g (with pads) and has 20% off infill.

Reviving an old thread but here’s a 3D printed Kendama I did. I personally did not do the printing but ordered it through 3Dhub.com
Slight imperfection here and there but the most disappointing was the weight at 50g. Their customer support is great so hoping to get this problem resolved. I have two so if anyone is interested in one of these let me know. I used a Craft Shift shape as influence with some minor tweaks.

EDIT: so it looks like my imgur link is dead and it’s not letting me upload so here’s a photos link

That thing looks amazing! How's the lunar balance?

50g is light but I could see it playing well with an ash super stick tama or something similar.

It’s overall pretty good haha. Very slippery though since it’s a plastic surface.

Maybe beadblasting the cups or a light sanding of the contact points would help.
