Ok so some of you may know that a tre in kendama is not exactly the same as a tre in skateboarding. In kendama, a tre is a lunar flip with a barrel roll In Skateboarding, a tre is a 360 spin with a barrel roll Im not here to try to revolutionize trick names (though i think it would make more sense) BUT i do want to see people doing some kendama tricks the same way that they are in Skateboarding. For those who are able try messing around with these concepts: -360 spin with a barrel roll (equivalent of a tre in skateboarding). -And the opposite spin with the opposite barrel roll (equivalent of lazer in skateboarding). -Hardflip ( Opposite spin with normal barrel roll) -Inward Heel ( Normal Spin with opposite barrel roll) And try messing around with different direction flips and barrel rolls as far as kendama-term "tres" So a kendama tre is a lunar flip with a barrel roll, Try doing a lunar front flip with a barrel roll (hardflip) And front flip with opposite spin barrel roll (Lazer) etc. Let me know if this doesnt make sense to you and if it does tag someone you think could get into this stuff!
Makes me think about that vid on the FKC https://m.facebook.com/groups/315359218558778?view=permalink&id=1272292242865466
Some of the dudes local to the Sweets shop (SKT team? I could have that wrong) are epic-ly good at lunar trés, I'd put them on it haha. Pretty sure I saw Parker land like... 4 in a row? at camp kendama. Honed!
I can land all the variations of "shuvits" (regular and inward lunar), but it's super hard to keep the big cup from not rotating. Still working on "varial" variations of tricks as it's just muscle memory at this point. Anyone managing to land these consistently?
