How many of you guys practice with your off hand and how does this help your normal play? Getting inspired by all the off hand work of @Supernog73 and was wondering what you guys thought of it. Also wanted to know, when you play off hand do you have a kendama specifically strung for your off hand or do you just use a dominant hand kendama and adjust accordingly?
I have a ton of $20 kendamas so I have one or two strung up lefty but I don't think it actually helps my right hand. I can only get big cup half of the time.
Yeah I play sometimes left hand, but with righthanded dama. I just pass the string over a bag cup so it is inside. I am doing around the world and sometimes spike bird spike or just big cup bird. Also a bit of lighthouse bit not flips yet
I practice a bit left handed. I can get lighthouse and j stick but not much else. Cup play hurts my brain and really fatigued my hand which is kind of crazy.
I screw around with it, but it's not something I am looking to progress with so much. Just the basics to get a better grasp of how to teach people.
I practice with my left hand every now and then. It's something that should definitely be done more though, imagine a player who laces total bangers with one hand and then can do the same trick on their other hand. that'd be crazy!
I play a tiny bit with my left hand but I think it is a great thing to learn as at (I think) Tacoma takeover 3 there was a trick were you had to do around the world - opposite hand. So I think it's uncommon but I still believe that practising with your other hand is one fun and two useful.
It has been done, but doesnt he land a double. My internet is spotty right now so I cant double check. I mean, who lands a tightrope flip at the one year mark?!!?
He said he wasn't feeling the vibe anymore in one of his Instagram posts. He was one of the only people to land a dub tightrope flip too!
forgot about this kid, he's crazy good for the amount of time he'd been playing not many, i'm pretty sure he's the only one to land a dub flip though, albeit the first one to
